This Ammonite necklace has a real ammonite fossil on it, every other part is made by hand in sterling silver. The ammonite that I use in this piece is 170 million years old, from the mid Jura age.
The silver around the fossil is tight and closes completely. At the back of the piece there are two loops/eyes for the necklace, so the fossil will always face with the right side out. The chain itself is 45 centimetres (18 inches) measured from end to end. At this moment I have two fossils in stock (one is pictured) so I can only make two necklaces like this at the moment.
